Nothing More teams up with K9s For Warriors on newest video for “Freefall” featuring Chris Daughtry

Date:

Nothing More have released a new version of their 2024 song “Freefall” with Chris Daughtry. The track comes as an addition to the deluxe edition of Carnal, released March 28.

Jonny Hawkins, Nothing More’s lead vocalist, describes “Freefall” as an anthem for those experiencing chaotic periods, such as the end of a relationship or the loss of a loved one. “We wrote an anthem for the people who find themselves in an uncertain and chaotic phase of their life,” explains singer Jonny Hawkins about “FREEFALL.” “Every single one of us have had, or will have, experiences where it feels like the rug is pulled from under us… an end to a relationship, a job loss, or the death of a close family member. These times can be filled with anxiety, or they can be filled with spiritual euphoria as we accept our transformation. We’ve always believed that our losses are invitations to ascend to a higher level of reality…and this song is our way of encapsulating that realization. Chris Daughtry elevated that feeling with his soaring and pristine vocals. We are so honored to have him on one of the best songs we’ve ever written.”

The accompanying video, directed by Stephen Wayne Mallet, portrays a firefighter grappling with mental health challenges who finds renewed purpose through a chance encounter with a homeless dog. Filmed in Clifton, Tennessee, the video features local first responders, including the town’s fire chief and sheriff, enhancing its authenticity. Actor Michael Lombardi, known for his role in FX’s “Rescue Me,” stars in the video, bringing personal experience and affiliation with firefighters to the narrative.

In conjunction with the song’s release, Nothing More has partnered with K9s For Warriors, the nation’s leading provider of trained service dogs for veterans with invisible wounds. This collaboration underscores the band’s commitment to supporting mental health initiatives, particularly for first responders and veterans. Guitarist Mark Vollelunga emphasizes the transformative power of these service animals, noting their ability to create peace and foster healthy changes in their companions.

Nothing More is hitting the road starting today to support Disturbed and Daughtry as well as some headlining dates.
