Tiffany Day embarked on her Lover Tofu Fruit Tour and made a stop in Boston at The Sinclair. The Kansas City-born pop sensation, graced the stage on a chilly evening in the heart of Harvard Square with a performance that was as much an exploration of her personal journey as it was a celebration of infectious pop melodies.
Tiffany released her debut project Lover Tofu Fruit last year to immense praise from fans. It’s a work of art that truly showcases her amazing songwriting abilities. She grew up in Kansas and first gained attention with a viral cover of “Hallelujah,” gaining a million YouTube subscribers. While in college, she began releasing original music, blending electronic and bedroom pop influences with her classically trained piano and violin skills. Her breakout single, “If I Don’t Text You First,” garnered over 25 million streams across streaming platforms.
The crowd in Boston was in for a treat as Tiffany’s setlist was a perfect blend of her old and new tracks. She kicked things off with “What Am I Running From“— that got the crowd dancing from the first note. Tiffany’s voice was pristine, her energy infectious, as she effortlessly glided through the song. She even played an unreleased song to the crowd’s surprise. The energy in the venue was electric all night, especially when she played a couple songs in dubstep style and it got the crowd going nuts. At one point Tiffany even jumped into the crowd to mosh together with them, it was such a cool moment.
