U.K. singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri will release a new EP, Little House, set to be released on April 4 via 10K Projects/Atlas Artists.
Chinouriri also surprise-released the project’s first single “Can we talk about Isaac?”, an ode to finding a fulfilling love with her boyfriend, Isaac. The single premiered last night on Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1. Self written by Chinouriri and co-produced by Chloe Kramer and apob, the track showcases the giddiness and joy she’s experiencing in her relationship, a total 360 from the challenges she faced in her debut album, What a Devastating Turn Of Events.
In a new press release, Rachel shares the process of writing “Can we talk about Isaac?”: “I write songs from a place of trauma but since releasing my album, I’ve consistently been in therapy and fell in love. Isaac makes me feel so protected and I’ve never felt protected really in my life, especially from men. I just felt so much of a new emotion, I decided to let myself write about how much I love him, no matter what happens, the fact that Isaac is the first and only guy to make me feel like this is special. It’s a shame that it took that to love myself but Isaac is my hero and I hope this fairytale never ends.”
The four-song EP will have three other unreleased tracks including: “Judas (Demo)”, “23:42” and “Indigo.” Chinouriri is currently opening up for Sabrina Carpenter‘s Short n’ Sweet Tour across arenas in Europe and will be embarking on her first ever headlining tour in the U.S. starting in April playing iconic venues such as Webster Hall in NYC, The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and 9:30 Club in Washington D.C.
Even though it’s only March, Chinouriri is already having a wildly captivating year.
