Michael Marcagi and Ashley Kutcher ignites The Orange Peel

Date:

Michael Marcagi brought his Spring tour to the stage of Asheville’s renowned venue, The Orange Peel, with Ashley Kutcher.

The evening kicked off as closely to 7pm as possible with Baltimore singer-songwriter, Ashley Kutcher. As soon as her set began, her voice drew the attention of the crowd away from the chatter and to her; opening with “How’s the Weather.” She continued her set with more songs from her Play Responsibly EP like “I’m Just Joking!” and “Plot Twist,” as well as the heartfelt “Boy from Carolina” from House On The Water. Kutcher knows how to get the crowd hyped and ready for the main event, and she did just that with her energetic and engaging performance.

And just like that as the clock struck 9 PM, Michael Marcagi made his grand entrance to the stage. He kicked off his set with “Keep Me Honest” followed by “Good Enough,” and it was clear that the audience was fully invested in every note. Cheers rang through The Orange Peel as he continued his set with hits like “American Romance” and “In the Light”. But it wasn’t just the music that wowed the crowd — halfway through the show, the lighting director put on a truly jaw-dropping display that elevated Michael’s performance to another level.

As the night progressed, Michael treated the audience to some fresh material, including his upcoming single “Fly Over States” — a track set to release the following week. He ended his set on a high note with “Scared to Start,” a song that gained significant traction on TikTok. To cap off the night, Michael returned to the stage for an encore, delivering two more songs that had the crowd roaring for more.
