Sienna Spiro has revealed that her debut EP, SINK NOW, SWIM LATER, is set to be released on Feb. 21. The singer made a splash in 2024 with tracks like “MAYBE.” and “NEED ME,” as well as an Apple Music Session covering Radiohead‘s hit song “Creep.” The two original singles have over 33 million streams combined on Spotify.
The EP explores the experiences you have when you are young, specifically in new beginnings and relationships. Spiro writes about the pressures she feels in today’s society and she hopes that this EP can help listeners find their own meaning.
Whilst each of the songs have their own world and story, they all relate to the feeling of being on the outside. Whether it’s the longing for validation, the desire to be needed and kept around, the pressure to change to be relevant, or escaping through fantasy.
The EP announcement follows the release of her newest single, “BUTTERFLY EFFECT.”
