Sam Robbins Sends a Powerful Message of Compassion on “What a Little Love Can Do”

Date:

Sam Robbins is a singer-songwriter from New Hampshire who has taken his experience touring across America and woven it into the striking lyrics and visceral vignettes of our country that he muses on. From driving 45,000 miles on the road, to taking in new perspectives from people across the nation, Robbins was immersed in the diverse landscapes and personalities that America had to offer. His newly released single “What a Little Love Can Do” is the leading track from his forthcoming album So Much I Still Don’t See. Written about the power that compassion and empathy has to heal our country, Robbins lets the raw acoustic sonics shed light on the message at heart.

“What a Little Love Can Do” shines with evocative chords of piano, fleeting notes of acoustic guitar, and a warm vocal from Robbins. Paired with a music video that captures his life on tour along with tender moments celebrating his birthday and petting his dog, “What a Little Love Can Do” attempts to illustrate the fact that love is all around us.

Revealing more on the track, Sam Robbins confides, “The song was written from a moment. I had spent most of the year on the road, and had just made it back to Nashville from a long run of shows when I heard that there had been a shooting near my house. I was home alone all day after an amazing trip, visiting places that felt so different from where I had grown up in NH, and I started strumming. The song just flowed from there, and I think that’s where the simple, direct nature of the lyrics and message came from – just trying to be in the moment and capture my feelings in a very divided world.

After performing upwards of 200 shows in the past year, Robbins is thrilled to release his upcoming album So Much I Still Don’t See which reflects on all he has learned during this important chapter of his life. “What a Little Love Can Do” comes at a pivotal time for America and encourages everyone to lead with understanding.
