Melodic Music Monday: January 20

Date:

Every Monday, we bring you a playlist filled with new tracks the Melodic staff has been listening to on repeat. Hear some of our latest obsessions below:

Dean Lewis, “With You” – Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis has debuted a brand new single, “With You”, and has announced that The Epilogue Deluxe will be released later this year. The new single gives fans a look into what to expect from the deluxe album.

– Reagan Denning

——

Elijah Cruise, “Chérie” – Elijah incorporates elements of the alt-rock scene many know and love into “Chérie,”  embracing the alternative energy of the Arctic Monkeys and the sly moodiness of The Neighbourhood. “Chérie” might even catch the attention of Chappell Roan fans with the line “She gets so turnt up to Chappell Roan,” making this song feel like a package deal.

– Audrey Van Schagen

——

Inhaler, “A Question of You” – While the sound might not be what fans are expecting, it is refreshing to hear the reminiscence of the earlier indie rock/pop rock influences that paved the way. With the new single, the band is solidifying their artistic range and versatility within the rock scene, definitely leaving room to be excited for what’s to come.

– Ashley Cardenas

——

Babe Rainbow, “Like cleopatra” – Australian psych-pop visionaries Babe Rainbow are back with their most kaleidoscopic offering yet. The band has announced their new album, Slipper Imp and Shakaerator, set for release on April 4th via King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s freshly launched label, p(doom) Records. This marks an exciting new chapter for both Babe Rainbow and the label, following the release of their closing single of 2024.
