Melodic Music Monday: January 13

Date:

Every Monday, we bring you a playlist filled with new tracks the Melodic staff has been listening to on repeat. Hear some of our latest obsessions below:

Rosie Darling and Jake Scott, “Roomful Of People” – Produced by Justin Gammella (FINNEAS, Ashe), the song’s guitar provides an evocative foundation for Rosie’s vulnerable lyrics, portraying the undeniable draw of a former love. The track crescendos with a stirring vocal exchange between Rosie and Nashville-based artist Jake Scott. Their electric chemistry enriches the song’s emotional resonance, taking its passionate depth to extraordinary levels.

Sofija, “Fucking Flowers” “Fucking Flowers” examines themes of independence, emotional growth and breaking free. Sofija takes control of her narrative despite waiting for some things to improve. The track balances vulnerability with strength, letting listeners into an anthem of self-discovery.

– Clare Gehlich

——

Retrosaint, “False Start” With its heartfelt lyrics, polished production, and genre-blending sound, “False Start” promises to captivate listeners and expand Retrosaint’s reach. The track’s indie pop sensibilities, combined with its Americana undertones, make it relatable yet fresh—a perfect reflection of Ross’s ability to adapt and evolve while staying true to his roots.

– Sarah Wagner

Boy In Space, “Take It Easy” On “Take It Easy,” Boy In Space’s Swedish pop sound is infused with a bit of southern charm. As it was written and produced in Tennessee, it was only natural for the song to take on hints of Nashville, as heard in the guitar strums and anthemic choruses. Throughout the song, Boy In Space touches on a tumultuous relationship, knowing that it wouldn’t do any good to stay in such a toxic situation. Still, he sings, “Take it easy / Break me or keep me / I’ll be any shape that you need me,” unable to stay away.
