Braden Bales unveils emotionally charged single “I Don’t Wanna Know”

Date:

Emerging indie artist Braden Bales continues to captivate audiences with the release of his new single, “I Don’t Wanna Know,” available now via Capitol Records. Known for his breakout hit “Chronically Cautious,” which gained viral fame thanks to a TikTok duet by Elyse Myers, Bales has built his career around forging genuine connections through his music and online presence.

“I Don’t Wanna Know” explores the emotional disconnection and unseen struggles that define collapsing relationships. This authenticity is central to Bales’ artistry. As he explained in a recent interview, “transparency in my life lets my music speak for itself more.”

Opening the song with, “What’s the matter, baby? / You seem sick these days,” sets an intimate tone, while the pre-chorus builds tension with its plea to distance oneself from pain: “Get back, get away from me / ’Cause I’m starved for your company.” Bales then compares the pain of being replaced with a frantic attempt to process it: “I’m thinking ’bout you as I’m flying down the interstate / Took one day to cut me off and switch me for another face.”

Currently, Bales is touring North America with Games We Play as part of the She’s The Girl Tour which will stop in cities including Indianapolis, Buffalo, Ottawa, and Lakewood before ending in Birmingham, AL on November 25th. All ticket information can be found at www.bradenbales.com/.

With “I Don’t Wanna Know,” Bales invites fans to explore the shadows of love and loss while maintaining the genuine connection that has become his signature. As his star continues to rise, both online and on tour, Bales proves that staying true to yourself is the key to creating art that resonates deeply.
