Maris shines bright in her return to Boston

Date:

Maris made her return to Boston after playing Boston Calling earlier this year, a much anticipated show. She was opening for the band Melt but it almost felt like it was her own headlining show the way she commands the crowd and has them dancing from the first song. Her stage presence is out of this world and she puts on such an amazing show each time, really bringing the audience into it.

Maris hails from Montana originally, but loves when she gets to play Boston since this is where she played her first ever big festival. It’s a special show every time in Boston and this was no exception. Both times she’s been here she has also worked alongside the Boston Music Project, which helps bring music lessons to schools that can’t afford them, where she would do a small show for the kids there, a super nice gesture.

This show for her at Royale was just as special. It seemed a lot of the crowd knew her and there were fans from Boston Calling for sure. There were a lot of devoted fans up front, to which she would stare into their faces and sing to them, holding their hands and creating sweet memories. She sang all of her hit songs including ones she just released this year, “Salt Water Taffy”, “Julia Roberts”, “The Fight”, and “Chameleon”. She is set to release more songs soon and even has a “secret” album under the link in her Instagram.

Maris and her drummer “Tiger” held down the show and made each moment so fun for everyone. Between choreographed dance numbers, witty banter, and inflatable guitar smashing, its safe to say Maris knows how to slay a show and make it a safe and welcoming space for all. She truly is a star in the making.
