Australian rising pop punk artist Christos follows up his most recent project “all fades to dust” with new single “tear it down.”
Christos emulates 2000s pop punk energy with heavy electric guitars and intense drum beats in his newest single, while capturing a more modern tone in his voice. The singer utilizes a hoarse voice to mimic an angsty aesthetic similar to that of jxdn.
The songwriter experiments with different genres and musical elements throughout the track. He integrates rap elements over pop-punk guitars and an up-beat rhythm achieved through trap drum beats to elevate the cheerful nature of the song.
The new single aims to destroy barriers to embrace carpe diem, not just in their lived experiences but in representing themselves outwardly. Serving as a self-empowering anthem, Christos is setting an example for anyone who is struggling to live life to the fullest:
“‘tear it down’ is about stepping out of your comfort zone and becoming the best version of yourself. It’s about accepting who you are, being proud of it, and grabbing life by the balls. The message behind this song from me to you, is to not take shit from anyone, let go of all your problems and just have fun.”
Christos carries this sentiment throughout his career, even performing for a mental health awareness charity in Brisbane. His career continues to flourish as he takes over Australia one show at a time. While his previous project was released many months ago, he continues to write and has more projects in the works for the future, so stay tuned for more!
