Recent News: Dropped her newest single “Give” on September 20.

With a beat that hooks listeners right from the get-go, rising R&B songstress Genia is captivating listeners with her latest release. Her new single, “Give,” is the singer-songwriter‘s first musical effort since her EP 4AM in the Ville released in April of this year. Currently signed to Def Jam, Genia is proving to be a prominent force in the world of R&B.

Exuding confidence and raw power, “Give” is a definitive track from Genia, who has declared that she writes music for “women to feel badass.” Bringing together her beautiful vocals with an infectious composition, “Give” is the ultimate end-of-summer pop anthem.

After listening to Prince’s Purple Rain during her youth, Genia finally found the escape she was yearning for while growing up in a turbulent home. Soon taking artistic inspiration from the likes of Lady Gaga and Beyoncé, Genia wanted to form her own alter-ego of a woman who is equal parts strong, creative and confident.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Genia was studying to be a nurse and working at Walmart. After going viral on TikTok in November 2020 with her cover of Deborah Cox’s “Nobody Was Supposed To Be Here,” Genia decided to launch herself head first into her musical career. Over the next two years, she trained her vocals, writing and choreography skills and is now fully invested into her artistic journey. Genia is only just getting started, and “Give” is the latest example of the singer’s anthemic artistry.

Stream “Give” on Spotify and Apple Music.
