Surf Trash releases newest single, “First One” off of their debut album ‘The Only Place I Know’

Date:

Alt rock band Surf Trash released their newest single, “First One,” off of their debit album The Only Place I Know on Sept. 13. The Australia-based band creates a feeling of nostalgia with a laid back, yet still energetic vibe with their newest single. “First One” is the type of song that makes you feel like you are having an intimate conversation with a friend. It feels carefree with the incorporation of some dreamy guitar riffs along with the lyrics, “You’ve gotta live in the moment / You own it.”

The four-piece band’s new album can be described as a mix of alt rock and indie rock numbers with feel-good lyrics and catchy melodies. About the album, drummer and vocalist Andrew Scott shares:

“The album is a mixed bag of indie/alternative rock with each track having its own special grooves & feels. Some repeated themes the album touches on are not being boxed into life by other people, finally noticing how fast time goes, remembering being young, and ultimately being yourself.”

If you like this track, be sure to check out the rest of the album.
