On Sept. 17th, rock fans gathered at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, NC for a night of pure energy as co-headliners Skillet and Seether delivered unforgettable performances.
The evening kicked off with impressive opening acts Royale Lynn and Tim Montana, but the real heat came when Skillet took the stage. Performing hits like “Feel Invincible,” “Rise,” and “Unstoppable,” the band’s energy was electrifying with air cannons cooling off the crowd while they belted every word along with lead singer John Cooper. John shortly paused mid-set to address the audience, speaking passionately about mental health awareness and the love of God. His heartfelt words added a deeply personal touch to the show, which continued with crowd favorites and wrapped up with their signature hit, “Monster.”
Seether launched their set with the gritty anthem “Gasoline.” Following up with the fan-favorite “Country Song,” the band’s heavy riffs and emotionally charged lyrics had the audience off their feet. Frontman Shaun Morgan’s raw vocals shined through when the band brought out the acoustic guitars for a acoustic performance of “Broken.” The stripped-down rendition had the entire audience singing along in unison. Following another fan favorite, “Wasteland,” Seether performed a live public debut of “Judas Mind” and played a riff from “Illusion” before wrapping up their set with “Remedy.”
