RecoHavoc shares his fresh take on hip hop storytelling with new single “Circles”

Date:

RecoHavoc has transformed the hardships of his Southwest Philadelphia upbringing into a captivating and original brand of hip-hop, using his struggles as a driving force for his creativity. Drawn to music and dance from an early age, his path was interrupted by life’s challenges. At 16, he was placed in a juvenile correctional facility on robbery charges, where he faced the tragic loss of his mother. With his father absent due to addiction and legal issues, RecoHavoc was left to navigate life’s difficulties on his own.

Instead of succumbing to adversity, RecoHavoc channeled his experiences into his music, giving his sound a distinctive depth and authenticity. He began releasing self-produced tracks and viral videos, quickly gaining attention in his community. His breakthrough came in 2016 with the track “Lucas,” which amassed millions of views and established him as an emerging talent. This momentum, along with his mixtape One Way Out, attracted attention from local radio stations and record labels, culminating in a record deal with Atlantic Records in 2017.

RecoHavoc’s career advanced further with his DJ Drama-hosted mixtape Started in 2018. Known for his unique delivery and raw storytelling, he captured the attention of prominent artists, including PnB Rock and four-time GRAMMY® nominee Lil Uzi Vert. RecoHavoc continues to stand out in the industry by turning personal pain into powerful lyrical narratives, solidifying his reputation and expanding his dedicated fan base.
