FEVER 333 is experimenting with sound in “Desert Rap”

Date:

In anticipation for their upcoming album Darker White, FEVER 333 have released “Desert Rap,” an energetic single setting up the tone for their upcoming album releasing on October 4th. This song marks the fourth single from the album.

Leaning into a variety of different genres, from pop punk and rap to screamo and metal, “Desert Rap” captures an interesting amalgamation of sound.

Through a catchy chorus, Jason Aalon Butler‘s voice mirrors that of post-hiatus Fall Out Boy, although amplified by intense sound and overwhelmingly high beats-per-minute in tempo. The singer, also from letlive., displays his dynamic range across the single.

FEVER 333 are determined to set an example to understand the importance of taking care of oneself in a time of change. Aalon says,

“If you hope to be an instrument for change, you must remember to keep said instrument sharp … Fatigue will find you if you don’t find yourself first. On the micro and macro level, this song serves as a reminder that when trying to do right by the people remember you as a person as well.”

The group challenges inner obstacles to further uplift their spirits in their hook: “I need to get out of / Out of my own way / It’s wearing me out / It’s / More than I can take / And once I leave / I might feel free / But I’m still trapped / By what I need.” Though these lyrics are reflective of the ambiguous issues they may face, they still believe in the notion that the only thing really keeping them from reaching their truest potential is themselves.

Along with their new single and upcoming album, FEVER 333 are set to embark on their international tour, reaching the U.S. and Europe.

Fans of letlive., Stray From The Past or Beartooth may find excitement in FEVER 333’s “Desert Rap,” as well as their upcoming album.

While the title still seems silly, the ability to capture an artist's creation and share it with the world will never cease to excite me.
