Stacey Kelleher perfects her alternative country sound in “backwards”

Up-and-coming alt country artist Stacey Kelleher released her newest single, “backwards”, on Aug. 2. The genre-bending singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tenn. takes inspiration from Kacey Musgraves, Holly Humberstone, and Phoebe Bridgers. Bringing these influences along with detailed storytelling and a fresh sound, Kelleher is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, boasting over 500,000 streams across all platforms. 

“backwards” marks Kelleher’s third single of 2024, and is an anthem for anyone wondering where they stand in a relationship with a potential love interest.
