Lee Way Ends A Situationship In New Song “Off Screen”

Date:

Lee Way is known for being candid about his life. Through his music, he shows us his triumphs and challenges with his mental health, creating a safe atmosphere where he can be vulnerable with his listeners. In his latest single, “Off Screen”, Lee Way comes to terms with the status of a failing relationship.

“Off Screen” is about the end of a confusing, noncommittal relationship. Through reflective lyrics and echoey synth, Lee Way realizes that this “situationship” can never grow into a long-term partnership. Lyrics such as “Cause we’re living off screen / And we’re never coming on it / Wish that our hearts were bonded”, show that Lee Way wants a relationship with this person, yet knows it is too far gone to save.
