Kississippi Announces ‘damned if i do it for you’ EP + Tour Dates With talker

Indie pop songstress Kississippi is delivering her brand-new, cheeky EP, damned if i do it for you, on July 26.

This new EP captures the singer conquering her past and present emotional roller coaster and cheering on the person she is currently. The four-track collection sees the return of producer Andy Park (Future Teens, Death Cab for Cutie) who has also worked on Mood Ring in 2021. Other names who lended their talent for this project include Maddie Ross, Sarah Tudzin and Dan Campbell.

The Philadelphia-based singer + songwriter pens damned if i do it for you as “a journey of introspection, peeling back all of your layers and searching for the love that you’ve always dreamed of within yourself. It’s a battle to find bliss in solitude, while you’re still healing from the wounds of a shattered heart. Along the way, it uncovers truths about identity and grapples with whether or not the imperfections you’ve found can be transformed into something beautiful. It’s a path to self-discovery and growth, as you navigate the complexities of self-love and acceptance.”

This EP follows Kississippi’s 2015 EP, We Have No Future, We’re All Doomed, as well as Mood Ring and Sunset Blush. The forthcoming project’s lead single “Last Time” is officially out now.

Kississippi says about the song, “‘Last Time’ came about after a run-in with an ex-partner at a gig and the heartache that ensued. As I took the stage with only a drum machine and a mic, it hit me that I was essentially doing karaoke to these songs about unrequited love, knowing that the person I wrote them about was in the next room with someone else. It’s about realizing someone you love has moved on before you know it, and the irony of having to do it live, in front of an audience.”

The songwriter’s is kicking off her tour with rocker talker on July 18 in Seattle, Washington, highlighting engagements in Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles and more. Be sure to grab your tickets and view a full list of tour dates at
