Loveless explores the complexities of relationships and self-doubt on new track “Drag Me Down”

Date:

After meeting in 2019 and releasing their debut track “Better” right as COVID was just beginning, Loveless did what most of the world did – turned to the internet (specifically TikTok). In 3 years, the Los Angeles rock duo, comprised of Julian Comeau and Dylan Tirapelli-Jamail, has garnered more than 2M TikTok followers, 2M Spotify monthly listeners, more than 250k YouTube subscribers, and 311+ Instagram Followers. Today, the duo is back with more music as “Drag Me Down” marks their second release of 2023, following “I Hope I’m Not Sick“.

Drag Me Down,” explores the complexities of relationships and self-doubt. Julian’s vocals are both vulnerable and powerful, carrying the weight of the song’s emotional depth. Lyrically it dives into the struggle of feeling inadequate in relationships due to personal anxieties and imposter syndrome. His candid admission of being a hopeless romantic, yet battling inner demons that push people away, adds a relatable layer to the song’s narrative.

The duo’s impressive online presence and fan engagement have undoubtedly played a role in building a strong global community of fans. With a significant following across various platforms, Loveless has proven their ability to strike a chord with audiences on a deep level.

As Loveless continues to expand their reach with a sold-out North American tour, appearances at major festivals like Lollapalooza this past weekend, and plans for an international tour, it’s clear that they’ve made a name for themselves despite releasing their debut track during COVID.
