Canadian pop punk rapper Hollow River has just released their newest single “Change”, giving us a sneak peek into their upcoming EP, set to come out later this year.

“Change” is an explosive rant that does not mince words; the rapper immediately starts the attack by calling their subject a “half-assed little bitch”, successfully setting the tone for the rest of the song. The aggressive lyrics embody the breaking point of a person that has had enough, and is looking to cut ties in order to move forward and make changes.

The song has a classic pop punk structure, very reminiscent of the early 2000’s. With high energy and massive speeds, the melody reflects the sheer frustration in the lyrics, making for a great song to headbang to when you’re very angry. “Change” gives the listener room to release their anger and look forward to the future at the same time.
