Nearly a month after her win on Season 9 of The Masked Singer, Bishop Briggs, known for her soul-stirring vocals and fearless energy, returns with her latest release When Everything Went Dark. “Reborn,” packed with raw emotion, delivers a heartfelt anthem that celebrates personal transformation and resilience.

“Reborn” serves as the opening track for Briggs’s new EP, When Everything Went Dark (out June 23). Briggs further emphasizes the significance of the album, acknowledging its role in her life’s journey. She expresses gratitude for the solace it has offered, enabling her to navigate through difficult times. The deeply personal nature of the album resonates with listeners, who can relate to the power of music as a source of healing and self-discovery.

Reflecting on the album, Briggs shares a personal insight into her connection with the concept of safety and finding solace. “When I was little, I would sleep with a night light that filled my bedroom with warmth as I drifted off to sleep. Something about the afterglow made me feel protected, as if someone was staying awake looking out for me.” As she grew older, she “learned to truly rest you have to feel that safety deep in your body.”

While “Reborn” is a powerful anthem that showcases her remarkable vocals, the accompanying music video enhances its impact by incorporating unique visual elements.
