Luka James released his new single “Can’t Admit It on June 15 with a self-produced music video. The pop-soul song houses a catchy tune and speaks of all the things James wants to do but can’t admit to. During the music video, this new single is used to tell the story of a pair of detectives who form an unbreakable bond while searching for the suspects in a jewelry heist. In the end, one of the agents discovers her partner had double-crossed her. After locking him up, she had to deal with the loss of someone she considered to be a close friend.

Just as the detective had to get through her loss in the music video, James realizes that there are lots of people out there going through their own hardships, which contributes to why he creates music. The singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, New York says, “Songs allow [him] to sing and shake and move through pain so that [he] can be in the wonder of the world.”
