Multi-platinum and chart-topping band, AJR have returned with their first release of 2023 with, “The Dumb Song” (AJR Productions and Mercury/Republic Records).
On the new track and official music video the band said: “We’ve wanted to write a song like The Dumb Song for a long time. Just a purely fun, crazy fast song that’s all over the place, but works in a weird way.”
The home-footage style music video for the new track follow the brothers (Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met) around during the year and a half it took them to create “The Dumb Song.” From the beginning stages, putting the track on pause so the band could tour, and even a cute cameo of Chloe, their 7 year old neighbor, recording her smell (yet adorable) role in the song, the trio definitely shows they do it all and showcase the hardwork they put into each of their songs.

AJR have teased new tracks and hints that “The New Era Has Begun. TMM.” Though we are not sure what the new era may be, we know it’s on its way.
As we wait for more new music, the band will be heading to Europe to support Imagine Dragons on their upcoming Mercury World Tour and will perform at festivals such at Lollapalooza Berlin, Greenroom Festival, Seoul Jazz Festival, and more. Full tour dates can be seen below.
