Hailing from the future, electro-rockers d3adc0de are on a mission to create music that “builds worlds in other existences.” In our current existence, music can be so fleeting, lasting long enough to make its rounds on TikTok before disappearing into the abyss. By giving their songs a modern sound with technical elements and sci-fi sensibilities, d3adc0de are reaching beyond the scope of social media and well into other galaxies and lifetimes. With their debut single, “Fight or Flight,” they bring us along for the ride.
On “Fight or Flight,” d3adc0de present us with a mix of high-energy rock and house music that would pair well with the climactic scene of any sci-fi movie. The rocker vocals and soaring melodies give it that compelling “saves the day” energy, while the synth work places it in another time. Telling us more about their mission as a duo, instrumentalist Steven Morgan shares,
“d3adc0de is an ambitious project that bend the lines between music, cinema, and performance, and becomes more rewarding for the fans that want to explore and immerse themselves into something alien. We plan to perform in unique venues that simulate and immerse the audience through augmented reality integrated with our concerts. Even now, we have built a metaverse that allows a user to explore their virtual environment, learn about band members, and watch the music video together with other fans.”
