Michelle Ray puts her foot down in “run to”

Date:

Michelle Ray first made a name for herself on none other than NBC’s The Voice. The singer/songwriter was on Team Blake in Season 4 and in the years since has gone on to have her songs featured in commercials for Maybelline, Mastercard, JC Penney and Nicklodeon. Additionally, Ray is big into musical theater as well, and has played such roles as The Witch in Into the Woods and Klepto in Alanis Morisette’s Jagged Little Pill.

In her single, “run to,” the artist puts her foot down, passionately singing, “I can’t be the one you run to / When you need someone to love you / Can’t be there for you when I keep losing myself / That sh*t takes a toll on me.” It’s the kind of the song that you can imagine singing along to with a group of friends while pretending your hairbrushes are microphones.
