Bleach Lab bring their hazy dream pop to Southampton

Date:

Bleach Lab delivered their dreamy pop sounds to Southampton on the second date of their UK tour, to support their new EP release If You Only Feel It Once. The London four piece played a chilled set of twelve songs to a busy, attentive crowd at Heartbreakers venue. Opening with a favourite from the new release “Obviously”, Jenna Kyle’s vocal melodies eased us nicely into the weekend.

Jenna told us she went to university in Southampton, so the show tonight was a lovely little throwback. She was poised and confident, gently tilting the mic stand, captivating the crowd with her smooth soft vocals.

Support came from She’s In Parties, a dreamy pop band that perfectly complimented the headliners. Katie Dillon’s sighing delivery sitting neatly above the reverb-soaked guitars.

  1. I was at the Southampton gig. I thought the sound was terrible, too much bass, and I couldn’t discern any of the lyrics or hear the guitars properly. I was very disappointed as I love their music.

I can’t believe it was just me who thought this. Did you have any issues hearing the lyrics?

    • Hi Russell, thanks for looking at the photo-review. I have ear-protection in when shooting gigs, so maybe a different experience of the bass level than you had. I agree they are a great band.
