Drew Now serenades her boyfriend in new single “TYPE”

Date:

It may not be new for musicians to write about their significant others, but Drew Now is definitely going about it in a different way. At the age of nine, the artist’s boyfriend was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. To show her love for her boyfriend, Drew Now released “TYPE”, a song hoping to show all those with chronic diseases that they are still needed and appreciated.

The lyrics contain different plays on words, such as “He can’t survive without insulin, I think I’d die without his freckled skin.” Even the title is representative of diabetes, as she sings, “He’s my TYPE 1.” The song is complimented by a simple, yet catchy beat, and it feels inevitable that the single will be important to many others in similar positions.
