SORN has returned with her fourth digital single, “Nirvana Girl”, released September 15th. The track features a verse (written fully in English) from SORN’s fellow CLC member Yeeun, and the official choreography for the song was created by CLC’s former leader, Seungyeon. This is the first collaboration by any grouping of CLC members since the K-Pop girl group ceased activities in May of this year.

“Nirvana Girl” contains lyrics about self-discovery and becoming your true self, a common theme through SORN’s music thus far. SORN stated via press release, “Nirvana Girl is about shaking off the labels I used to let define me, and learning to become the most authentic version of myself.”
The music video begins with SORN in styling reminiscent of CLC’s “Black Dress” era, holding up a magazine titled “Sweetie Cutie” before she transitions into the blonde hair and glam styling she’s been implementing throughout her solo career. SORN then seems to let go and enjoy her true identity, dancing and laughing with her friends in a party scene. The bouncy, feel-good instrumental lends itself to strutting onto the dance floor with your best friends, just as SORN, Yeeun and Seungyeon do in the music video.
