Nothing More delivers an epic performance in Nashville

Date:

One of the most notable rock tours of the summer rolled through Nashville on Wednesday night. On what was planned to be a four-band lineup at Marathon Music Works, there were only three. It was with heavy hearts that British rockers and co-headlining act, Asking Alexandria, announced they would be dropping off the rest of the tour. This news came in the hours leading up to show time in music city. Lead vocalist, Danny Worsnop, had been suffering from a severe throat infection and was instructed to be put on vocal rest by specialists. The rest of the bill in Eve Under Fire, Atreyu and Nothing More stepped up and delivered a great show in Asking Alexandria’s absence.

With the originally scheduled four-band lineup, it was an early show time. Melodic made it just in time for the second of two openers, Atreyu. The five-piece metalcore outfit hailing from California brought an incredible energy that had the crowd engaged from start to finish. It was clear to see the extra effort that was being put in to keep the show going with the circumstances. The band did a great job of working the crowd while showing off their musical chops.

After a great start to the night, it was time for Nothing More to close it out. The show started with an abrupt and room shaking sound effect as the lights were cut. It was a preview to what would be a theatrical and powerful showing from the hard rock quartet from San Antonio, Texas. It was an epic performance from start to finish with frontman, Jonny Hawkins, stealing the show. His stage presence was second to none and the crowd was loving it. Although there was a band missing from the night, there was no shortage of spirit, fire and passion for rock music and it was an incredible scene.
