Maggie Lindemann teams up with Siiickbrain for “break me!”

Date:

Over the years, Maggie Lindemann has made incredible songs with artists like Kellin Quinn, LØLØ, and Travis Barker, furthering her reach and creativity as an artist.  Also one for collaborations is Siiickbrain, who has released singles with WILLOW, Kayzo, and Skrillex, to name a few.  Both Maggie and Siiickbrain have crossed paths, of course, as they currently are up-and-coming forces in the alternative scene, making fierce music with powerful messages.  In fact, they have already come together on a couple of singles, but are teaming up once more for the electrifying “break me!”

With “break me!” Maggie and Siiickbrain tell the complex story of a messy situation.  Over industrial-infused beats, they sing about the darkness and the light they have found, filled with “lust,” “fear,” and “self-infliction.”  It all comes to a head in the chorus when Maggie sings, “Every time you try to break me / I feel my heart decaying.”  You can check it out in the video below, which was directed by Siiickbrain.

About the single and video, Maggie shares,

“‘break me!’ is about being intoxicated.  It’s all the feelings it gives you, that rush of fear and adrenaline, but also the calmness and peace.  The video is meant to convey the juxtaposition of the two – one moment you’re euphoric and the next you feel like you’re broken, suffocating and your heart is decaying.”

“break me!” is the latest from Maggie’s upcoming album, SUCKERPUNCH, which is available for pre-order here.
