Peach Martine recalls the romance of “Romeo and Juliet” on new single

A few years ago, pop singer and songwriter Peach Martine made her debut on American Idol, equally impressing and creeping out the judges with her audition.  She got her ticket to Hollywood, but instead of continuing her journey on the show, Peach skipped out and decided to take a different path.  She did the right thing in the end, taking her time to develop her skills as an artist and find her own true audience.  She now has over one million followers on TikTok, who relate to the stories and the emotion Peach puts forth in her music.  As she continues to flourish, Peach is giving us her second single of the year with “Romeo and Juliet.”

The track has some of that defiant spirit associated with the Shakespeare classic, the lyrics exhibiting a type of “forbidden love” vibe that was found in Romeo and Juliet’s relationship.  Containing bubbly melodies and a punk rock attitude, “Romeo and Juliet” perfectly demonstrates the charisma that is found throughout Peach’s repertoire.  Fervently, Peach sings, “Romeo and Juliet / Have nothing on us cause they’re dead” and “They’ll write movies and operas about the times we dated / They should but maybe we’re a little too x-rated,” cherishing the good times she has with her partner.  You can check it out below.

About the track, Peach says,

‘Romeo and Juliet’ is the perfect song for your chaotic yet awesome love story.  It’s loud and high energy, with the same wit and flirtatiousness in the lyrics that keeps a relationship’s flame alive.”

You can listen to “Romeo and Juliet” on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.
