Mitski reveals the disco-tinged “Love Me More”

We’re only a few weeks away from hearing Mitski’s eagerly-anticipated Laurel Hell, and she’s already given us the advance singles “Working for the Knife”, “The Only Heartbreaker”, and last month’s stunner “Heat Lightning”. Today, she’s given us another preview of the album and it’s another detour into the world of 80s pop.

“Love Me More” is another outstanding example of the stylistic shift that Mitski’s going for on Laurel Hell. It’s driven by a shuffling drumbeat and saw synths that eventually propel it into full disco euphoria when it hits the chorus.
