Thundercat brings It Is What It Is to Boston

Jazz and funk extraordinaire Thundercat rocked last night at a sold out House of Blues, on the first of two nights in Boston. In support of his latest album, It Is What It Is, the California bassist played in front of a packed crowd, coming out with wild energy and sounds from the very start. With songs like “Innerstellar Love”, “Them Changes” and “Dragonball Durag”, Thundercat pleased the excited crowd as he told stories about the background of some of the songs. He also paid tribute to artists such as Chick Corea and Flying Lotus, in an unforgettable, cathartic evening. Opening the show with a bang was rapper Channel Tres.
