If you have been having trouble going out or being social these days, you are not alone. Whether it’s going to bed early or canceling plans with friends, singer and songwriter ROSIE knows what you are going through. She does not cover up or mask how she feels and is never afraid to get too vulnerable or too personal. With her latest single “Social Stamina,” ROSIE gives us another honest look into her life, describing scenarios that involve staying in over branching out.
Written and produced by ROSIE herself, “Social Stamina” is an emotional ballad that demonstrates how pushing away friends and crying over romantic comedies can lead to new lows. Over soft piano and strings, ROSIE openly sings, “I push away until I’m alone / When did I become someone no one loves,” and asks, “How did I turn into a person I can’t stand?” The track serves as a love letter to those who might be feeling a little lost in life, so unsure of their actions and plans.
ROSIE does not want those who hear the track or resonate with its lyrics to feel alone, though. Seeing how millions of fans went crazy for a preview of the song on ROSIE’s TikTok last month, it is evident that there are so many out there who are feeling just as lonely and isolated. She shared,
“The message behind ‘Social Stamina’ is: you may feel lost and alone but you never have to be alone in your lostness. Let this song serve as a friend and support system as you navigate the highs and lows of life.”
While “Social Stamina” is a standalone track, it hints at the topics and questions that are explored on ROSIE’s upcoming debut EP, which is out this fall via Arista Records.
You can listen to “Social Stamina” on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.
