Carver Commodore unleashes “Queens”

Who said that you needed to employ Travis Barker to create rock music in 2021? Florence, AL natives Carver Commodore have been one of the most consistent touring presences around the southeast since their inception in 2017. Today, they’ve unveiled the next era of the band following 2019’s Tell Me What You Want, and it’s a great introduction to what should be one of the buzziest bands on your radar in 2021.

Queens” is a ripper of a track that’s immaculately constructed around dueling guitar lines and lead singer Payton Pruitt’s vocals that blur the line between polished and intense. It’s equal parts The White Stripes and The Rapture, and it’s absolutely invigorating. “Queens” has been in my head since the first time I heard it, and I think it’ll be in yours too.
