Shibashi and Chlӧe Howl go back in time with dancefloor anthem “We Were Young”

Date:

Hailed as “one of the industry’s finest and is highly sought after,” Shibashi clearly knows how to spin a tune.  Also known as Gigi Monterro, the DJ and producer first made waves last month with the feel-good single “All The Lights”, which featured Aoife from whenyoung.  The track was an instant hit, accumulating thousands of streams and recognition from artists like Mystic Sons to publications like The Guardian.  Ready to keep the party going, Shibashi gives us another single that will have you dancing the night away with people you love.

A collaborative effort with BRIT nominee Chlӧe Howl, “We Were Young” is a high-energy, disco-inspired track that transcends reality.  Its infectious beats and bold melodies will take you back to the 80s and encourage you to leave all of your negative energy behind.  Chlӧe’s powerhouse vocals drive the track, as she engagingly reflects on a special person in her life.  You can check it out below.

About the track, Shibashi shares, “It’s a heart on your sleeve, dance away the tears, first big break up song.  It parallels a relationship with starting out young in the music industry.  The ‘twists and turns’ involved in trying to break through and find your feet.  New Order meets Lady Gaga at a dinner party with Van Halen.”  Can we have a more accurate description?

You can listen to “We Were Young” on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
