Cavetown Releases a New Reimagined Version of ‘Sharpener’

Date:

U.K multitalented indie pop artist Cavetown is back with an exciting new release. This release shows a totally different and reimagined version of his fan favorite and vulnerable song “Sharpener”. “Sharpener” saw immense success and really hit a chord with fans around the world. The message behind the song is very raw and vulnerable and truly shows just how versatile Robbie is as a musician and songwriter. On this release of the song this time around we see a featured artist, electronic/dance producer KINA, who adds an extra level of pizazz to the song. The song itself still has that indie emotional feel to it much like the original, but this time is featured with a piano, making it that much more raw and emotional.

This beat-driven rework adds to Cavetown’s growing list of collaborations over the past year, including recent track “Let Me Feel Low” (feat. Miloe), “Smoke Signals” (feat. Tessa Violet), “is your bedroom ceiling bored?” (feat. Sody), “LEMONS” (feat Brye), and “Was It Something I Said” (feat. MyKey). “Sharpener’s Calling Me Again” is the first taste of much more music to come from Cavetown in 2021 – stay tuned for announcements coming soon, we cant wait to see what Robbie has in store!
