LIVE PHOTOS + REVIEW : Laundry Day // Toronto

Date:

After the release of their album HOMESICK this past March, LAUNDRY DAY have been on a summer tour across North America. August 10, they brought their ALL MY FRIENDS tour to the Velvet Underground in Toronto. The group consists of Jude (vocals), Sawyer (vocals, guitarist, piano), Etai (drums), Henry Pearl (bass) and Henry Weingartner (guitarist), five high school students from New York. The moment they stepped on stage, fashioning blue scrubs, you could immediately feel their high energy as they began to perform the first song of the night Harvard. You can hear through their music that their sound draws inspiration from some of their musical influences such as Brockhampton and Tyler, the Creator. They continued their set with songs off their latest album as well as some of their earlier work. Although the venue was on the more smaller, intimate kind, the group performed with so much passion and love for what they do that it felt like they were rocking on the stage of an arena. With their dedicated fans and passion there’s no doubt they’ll be selling out arenas soon.
