First, Xiumin and D.O. both left for military service, and I wish them luck; I know we will all be patiently waiting for their return. Before each of them left for their service, they gifted fans with “You” and “That’s Okay.” Both of the tracks are beautiful and deserve entire articles devoted to the artists’ talents; alas, we have so much to get through.
Second, Lay released an incredibly sexy R&B track, “Honey”, that is the definition of a BOP. He is still thriving while promoting his solo career. Again, I find it incredibly difficult not to dive into all the nuances of this song: the choreography, and the video; however, we must push on.
Third, Chen released a short but powerful solo mini album entitled “April, and a Flower.” I highly suggest a listen to “Beautiful Goodbye“. Chen’s vocals are emotional and angelic with the accompaniment of a soft piano.
Fifth, We are getting a new sub-unit! I repeat a NEW SUB-UNIT! Well almost new. Chanyeol and Sehun are debuting as EXO-SC. I am thrilled. You may remember their young and fresh track “We Young.” The new album, “What a Life,” will include six tracks and releases July 22nd.
Sixth, Baekhyun is set to release a mini album, “City Lights,” on the 10th of July and is composed of six tracks. Baekhyun collaborated with a multitude of artists including rapper Beenzino. The anticipation is killing me.
Seventh, Kai released plans for a solo debut, but there is no further information at this time for an exact date. I will keep my ear to the ground.
There is so much going on with this incredibly talented group of artists. I will do my best to keep you updated with their astounding progress.
