ONES TO WATCH: Slam Dunk Festival 2019

With just two weeks to go until the return of everyones favourite pop punk festival Slam Dunk in Leeds and Hatfield we thought we would give you the heads up on some of the artists to check out this year. Alongside this years headlining acts are some great  bands that are definitely worth checking out. Below our a few of our Slam Dunk Festival ones to watch.

#1 BAND: As It Is
First up on our ones to watch list for this years festival are the wonderful As It Is. If you haven’t seen this band in previous years at Slam Dunk you’re really missing out. These guys are pros at their live performances and frontman Patty Walters knows how to get a crowd involved. This is the bands first time playing the main stage so be sure to head to the Monster Energy Stage early to check out their set.

#2 BAND: Grandson
Next up on our list we have Jordan Edward Benjamin also known as Grandson. Since signing to record label Fueled By Ramen in 2018 and with the release of two major label EP’s since then, the singers fanbase has been going from strength to strength. Check out the music video for his track Apologize from his February 2019 EP release A Modern Tragedy Vol.2 below.

#3 BAND: Seaway
 Another band who are very familiar with Slam Dunk Festival are Seaway. Having performed at the the festival multiple times since it began the Canadian band will make their return this year on the Marshall Stage. Seaway always put on a great live show and have become a pop punk fan favourite over the years, this is definitely a band you don’t want to miss at this years festival. Check out their track Blur from their 2017 album release Vacation below.

#4 BAND: 
Next up we have the American duo Dallon Weekes and Ryan Seaman also known as iDKHOW. These guys are not to be missed and will be playing the headlining spot on the Key Club Stage at this years event. This band are one to check out if you want to mix up you day, unlike the majority of artists playing Slam Dunk who have a classing pop punk sound iDKHOW will be bringing some fresh electronic pop sounds to the festival.

#5 BAND: Tiny Moving Parts
Last up on our ones to watch list are Tiny Moving Parts. The three piece family band from Minnesota encapsulate everything that Slam Dunk Festival is about; great pop punk music with killer live performances to match. The band have some great company over on the Dickies stage this year so be sure to head to the festival early to catch their set. Check out the bands music video for Headache below.
