GRMLN started out as a one-man band, frontman Yoodoo Park combining a sunny Southern California surf sound with a taste of nostalgia. After releasing an EP in 2012 on his own, he turned GRMLN into a full band, adding bass guitarist Tae San Park (his brother) and drummer Keith Frerichs. Following this was the release of two full-lenghts: Empire in 2013, a breezy, upbeat nine-song parade; and Soon Away in 2014, its grittier, 90s-esque counterpart. If Empire is a day spent cruising down the California coast, Soon Away is its pacific-northwest blue day other half – in the best way possible.
The band released an EP, Discovery, in April of 2017, boasting their signature sound with a more pop-rock feel. Following that came their third full length, Out of Disorder, with standout tracks Generation Me, Night Racer, Tomorrow, and Void not leaving fans disappointed.
