LIVE REVIEW: Pale Lungs// Nashville, TN – September 18th

Date:

I had the privilege to see Pale Lungs live in concert just a few weeks ago and it blew my mind. I went for the headliner but left with a new favorite band!

Born in Murfreesboro, a small town just 20 minutes from Nashville, Pale Lungs has a big influence on Nashville’s music scene.  The band is composed of Matt Schumacher- Lead Singer/Guitar, Ben Jarrett- Drummer, Julian Shank- Bassist, Hayden Wadell- guitar. Their EP, “Strawberry“, has a post-hardcore kick that gets the crowd moving. The energy of Pale Lungs reminds me of why I enjoy going to shows. The EP consists of four songs: My Window, Roam, Days Leave, and My Window. Each tells a special story that the band has experienced/feels passionate about. The ending of “Sanctuaries” gives a look into the minds of the band. The song’s ending repeats, “One day I won’t need you the way that I need you,” reminding the audience that there is an end to everything no matter what we do or how much we care.

This band is definitely one to keep an eye on. Their fan base is currently growing exponentially due to their good show with Pocket Science and Mountains Like Wax. Currently, Pale Lungs is on tour for Pittsburg-Chicago- and Cleveland within the next two weeks. Be sure to keep an eye out, they may be coming to your city! Oh, and if you do see them.. don’t forget to bring sunscreen for their pale lungs.
