Panic! At The Disco Drops Music Video for Surprise New Song

Date:

Panic! At The Disco is back and at it again! Not only did Panic! drop a surprise new song, Emperor’s New Clothes, but they also released a new music for that song. But wait! That’s not all! Panic! At The Disco also announced the preorder for next album, Death Of A Bachelor, set to release in January of 2016.

The beginning of the Emperor’s New Clothes music video showcases pieces of the This Is Gospel music video as we see Brendon Urie’s silhouette running. Next, we see Urie come into focus, as he stands in a white oasis, enveloped by white smoke. His eyes widen as Urie falls through, what seems to be, a trap door to the pits of Hell.

As the music video progresses, we see Urie’s body lying on the dirt floor surrounded by skeleton bones. While he utters the phrase “welcome to the end of eras”, Urie begins to transform into a devilish creature alluding to a more haunting Panic! At The Disco.

It is interesting choice for Urie to take on the form of a devil as he sings about being more than royalty. Throughout the song, Urie delivers is incomparable vocal skills, as he vows to take back the crown. What crown exactly, is yet to be determined.
